This device is designed to prevent telephone line
disconnect when your modem is connected to the
Internet. It prevents the use of other telephone
extensions when you are online. It will stop
annoying disturbances or disconnects while
downloading. It can also be used with fax machines.
When used with an answering machine, it will
automatically stop outgoing messages when any
telephone is picked up anywhere else in the house.

INTERNET USE

The Internet Line Control has two telephone jacks
labeled PRIORITY #1 (MODEM) and TEL.#2. The
PRIORITY #1 (MODEM) jack has priority over the
TEL.#2 jack. Whenever the PRIORITY #1 (MODEM)
is online, any telephone device connected to the
TEL.#2 jack will not be able go off-hook and use
the line. Also, if a telephone is already using the
line, it will be disconnected automatically when the
modem goes online.

FAX MACHINE
The fax machine should be connected to the jack
labeled PRIORITY #1 (MODEM). This will give
the fax priority over the TEL #2 jack, and will
prevent any telephone device from disturbing a
fax being sent or received.
ANSWER MACHINE
Connect the answer machine to the TEL #2 jack.
To stop an outgoing or incoming message, pick
up any telephone in the house connected to the
PRIORITY #1 jack.

LED INDICATORS
The RED and GREEN LED indicators will light
whenever a telephone device connected to the TEL
jack is in use. Color will depend on the wiring of
the house telephone line. However, the priority line
operation will be the same regardless of the color of
the indicator.

STOP EAVESDROPPING OF CALLS
Connect your main telephone to the PRIORITY jack
and all other telephone extensions to the tel #2 jack.
This will prevent anyone picking up an extension
from listening to your calls. While the telephone
connected to the PRIORITY #1 jack is in use, any
extension connected to TEL #2 jack will not hear any
audio or dial tone when taken off hook.
